Woodlands Country House Hotel

is owned by Peter & Glenda Botes.  Peter comes from a long line of hoteliers & restaunteurs.  Great food, wine, art, flowers, a great mix of music and wonderful country walks is what we would like you to remember after a visit to Woodlands. 

We are very proud to announce that we have just been awarded a three star rating as well as a rosette for our restaurant (July 2010)

Since taking ownership of Woodlands in 2006, it was our mission to bring this lovely Victorian Farmhouse back to a place where one would visit and know that this experience was all about the beauty of Somerset and the great produce which comes from the heart of this farming county.  Our bedrooms have lovely views over the front of our gardens which extend to taking in the Quantock Mountains.  The furnishings are in keeping with the country feel, are very clean and very comfortable.  We offer a small intimate & well stocked bar as well as a library/drawing-room - with a good selection of books, dvd's & board-games.  We have a main dining-room with 2 smaller dining areas for those who might like to have a private area for smaller dinner parties.

Our menu changes daily, so for those looking for more than a one-night stop, you'll find each evening that there will be something new and different, and hopefully you'll look forward your dinner at Woodlands as a bit of a gastronomical experience.
